Wiz Khalifa Says He Does Molly Records For The Money

“And its kids, they are partying and having fun, so I’m not going to tell you what not to do,” he said. “You know what I’m saying. I’ve never been that dude. Like when I seen it was kind of growing and becoming more and more popular, at first I was one of the people that was ‘Yall need to chill with the Molly.’ I said that. But the more popular it grew, it got bigger than me and my influence, so it’s like you can either get with it or get lost. So I do not want to get lost.”

Wiz Khalifa Says He Does Molly Records For The Money

“Molly” has become the new “it drug” as of late in Hip Hop industry. Pitsburgh emcee Wiz Khalifa is making sure to cash in on it.

During an interview with Hard Knock TV, Wiz revealed he would be crazy not to do guest features on “Molly” records.

“I did a joint with Tyga, too. The molly record, that just came out.

“I think it’s past the people who are actually using it. It’s just money now,” the “Black and Yellow” rapper said. “You know what I mean? And I would be crazy not to tap into that. Like I want some of that money, too.

Wiz said it’s not his place to stop children from using the drug.

Though Wiz hops on “Molly” tracks, he said he never raps about popping the drug.

“I just brought the Mary aspect to it,” he said. “I never talk about popping Molly. But I’ll say some slang that you know people who do molly, they f*ck with it and I’ll say what I do do.”

Wiz mused on the possibility of the “Molly” fad dying out by the end of the year, but said he would continue to do records about the drug until it does.

“I just did another Molly song with Lil’ Durk,” he said. “The ‘Molly Girl’ record and it’s really, really tight and it’s about Molly and I think people are going to love it. Like they’re not going to get tired of it, not yet. It’s the beginning of the year. Maybe in December, they’ll be tire of it.”

Though many rappers are rushing to incorporate Molly in lyrics to sell records, a few artists have spoken out to slam the drug.

Joe Budden is one of the few Hip Hop artists deciding to jump off the bandwagon. The “Pump It Up” rapper discussed in an interview with Fox 5 the dangers of the popular drug “Molly.”

“Now everybody is speaking about molly like it is the “it” thing to do,” Budden said. “I didn’t see a problem with the fact that maybe five days would go by without sleeping. I didn’t see a problem with the fact that I was maybe hallucinating at times. It just altered your thinking process dramatically. For thinkers, such as myself it was like nothing I had ever experienced before.”

Molly is a pure form of ecstasy. When induced, it puts the user in a euphoric state.

Hip Hop newcomer Trinidad James has arguably sparked listeners’ interests with the drug after rapping the highly addictive line “Popped a Molly, I’m Sweating Woo!” in song “All Gold Everything.”

Trinidad James appeared in an interview with Power 105’s Breakfast Club to express his love for the Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) drug. The Georgia rapper said his drug of choice prior to using “Molly” was marijuana. But after using Molly for first time, he said, he never went back.

“All the people are like, ‘I don’t know what it is, but every time I hear the song, I just wanna do it,’ ” James said in an interview with MTV News. “That’s a terrible excuse, but go ‘head, get high, go ‘head. Blame Trinidad, blame it on me.”

Though he loves Molly, James insists he doesn’t use it often.

“I might go months without doin’ anything and then I’ll be like, you know, when I’m in L.A., I wanna party with these people. I feel like I can’t get turnt up fast enough, I’m just gonna do this,” he said.
