Troy Ave Says Shooting Was Self-Defense In Jail Freestyle

It is considered to be the best form of defense to remain quiet and let your attorney do the talking. But Troy Ave won’t allow himself to silent.

Troy Ave, born Ronald Collins, was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in Manhattan Criminal Court for his role in a shooting that took place T.I.’s concert at Irving Plaza Concert Hall in New York City.

Troy spoke on the incident that occurred that fateful night in his “Free Troy Ave” mixtape, saying his actions were self-defense.

Troy Ave speaks on the shooting in songs “Intro (Troy Ave Speaks/Freestyle),” “Intermission (Troy Ave Speaks),” and “Outro (Troy Ave Speaks).”

“P—- n***a tried to assassinate me/I took the gun from him and turned the tables round like a G,” Troy raps.

Troy is being held without bail until trial. His next court date is scheduled for Thursday, June 9.
