Houston Rapper Slim Thug took to Twitter to check Shaquille O’Neal for dissing his hometown when discussing Dwight Howard’s recent signing with the Rockets.
“Yo @SHAQ we ain’t no small town 4th largest city we do it BIG down here G watch us work next season,” the “So High” rapper wrote.
The Boss Hogg’s comments come following Bun-B’s thoughts on the matter.
Bun-B, too, wasn’t pleased with Shaquille’s O’Neal’s statements on Howard’s decision.
“Hey @SHAQ you do realize that even though you’re not a @DwightHoward fan, that doesn’t give you the right to call Houston a ‘”lil town”’ my G!” he wrote.
Shaq was asked to provide his thoughts on Dwight Howard’s recent departure from the L.A. Lakers during the Daytona International Speedway.
Howard signed an $88 million 4-year contract with the Houston Rockets, according to USA Today.
“It was expected,” O’Neal said. “We’ve all been in L.A. Not a lot of people can handle being under the bright lights. Everybody wants to do it, but when you get there, know it’s certain pressures. I think it was a safe move for him to go to a little town like Houston.”
