Legendary singer Natalie Cole has died at age 65, according to TMZ. The gossip website is reporting Ms. Cole died in a Los Angeles hospital from congestive heart failure.

Reverend Jesse Jackson took to Twitter to offer his condolences.

The Grammy award-winning singer recently fell ill, cancelling several tour dates in late December, including a New Year’s Eve concert at Disney in L.A.

Cole is survived by her son, singer Robert Adam Yancy.
