Meek Mill Wants Black Lives Matter To Focus On Chiraq Amid Shooting Death Of 11-Year-Old Girl In Chief Keef’s OBlock

Meek Mill is calling for the multimillion-dollar Black Lives Matter organization to additionally focus their efforts on the bloodshed occurring in Chiraq. Meek’s comments come amid the shooting death of 11-year-old Takiya Holmes in South Side Chicago.

The Philly rapper wrote on IG, “I think it’s about time for “black lives matter” focus on Chicago” it’s a lot of kids dying out there and we putting all our focus on cops! RIP BABY GIRL, ONE OF 3 little kids killed this week! CNN not covering this news!”

Takiyah was sitting in a van near Parkway Gardens with family members when she was struck in her right temple.

Antwan Jones, 19, opened fire after seeing three rival gang members selling drugs nearby. Jones, who turned himself in, was ordered held without bond on a first-degree murder charge.

Takiyah was one of three children shot in Chicago in three days. Kanari Bowers, 12, was shot in the head by a stray bullet about 30 minutes before Takiya was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood.

The murder of 2-year-old Lavontay White Jr. was captured on Facebook Live.

Lavontay and a 26-year-old man were shot and killed during a car ride in a maroon four-door sedan Tuesday afternoon. A 25-year-old pregnant woman – the boy’s aunt – was wounded in the incident.

The three occupants of the vehicle were enjoying “Love No Thotties” by Chief Keef when they were ambushed.

The man, who remains unnamed, was driving down an alley in the Lawndale neighborhood on the City’s West Side when the gunman opened fire. The woman told police the gunman blocked them with his vehicle before opening fire, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The woman fled the vehicle when gunshots rang out.

Lavonte and the man were both shot in their heads and later pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The mother and her unborn baby were listed in fair condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
