Louisville Guard Kevin Ware’s Leg Snaps In Half During Elite Eight Game Against Duke



A tragic incident occurred Sunday night during the Elite Eight matchup between Louisville and Duke.

With only 6:33 to go in the first half of game play; Louisville’s guard Kevin Ware shin snapped in half after attempting to contest a three-point shot by Tyler Thornton.

Ware’s bone broke through his skin after he landed.

An emotional scene occurred during the game’s seven-minute delay.

Guard Russ Smith cried upon seeing Ware’s injury. Several players were in shock and fear after seeing Ware.

Ware was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
