Farrakhan invited some of Chicago’s most popular Hip Hop artists to the Nation of Islam’s headquarters Mosque Maryam for an important address.
Some of these artists included Fredo Santana, Lil Reese, G Count, Katie Got Bandz and King Louis, to name a few.
These artists were appreciative to meet with Farrakhan.
In Farrakhan’s address, he weighed in on the killing of college bound Ferguson teen Mike Brown by a police officer and the subsequent police militarization of the town. Farrakhan also predicted a similar situation of police militarization is likely to occur in Chicago.
Farrakhan regarded some of his attendees as “some of the finest minds in Chicago.” But the religious leader feared they would be the “target of a wicked conspiracy” in America.
“I warn you that something terrible is about to go down and Ferguson is a sign,” he said. “The killing of Michael Brown is one of many. …Every city and town where black people live, black men are being shot down by police.”
