Lil Reese Reacts To Derrick Rose’s Season-Ending Knee Injury

Derrick Rose, star athlete of The Chicago Bulls, received the worst of worst news Tuesday afternoon after an MRI exam on his right knee revealed a torn meniscus that will require surgery, the Chicago Sun Times reports. Rose missed the most of the 2013-14 season after tearing his ACL in the same knee.

CBS Sports reported Rose and doctors have decided to repair the meniscus than remove it. Choosing the latter option would mean shorter recovery time, but potential lifelong pain and risk of arthritis.

Rose, 26, averaged 18.4 points and 5.0 assists in 46 games this season.

News of Rose’s injury drew a response from fellow Englewood, Chicago native and rapper Lil Reese.

“Man rose got my mf knee hurtin na get well fool…,” he wrote on Twitter.

Fellow NBA superstar athletes Lebron James and Paul George also reacted to news of Rose’s injury.

“Man feel bad for D.Rose! Keep your head up homie and stay strong G!” James wrote.

George wrote, “Damn man send one up for D Rose.. Hate this keeps coming back but like before it won’t keep you down!”
