Chief Keef associate Lil’ Reese took to Twitter to express his concern with the rising violence in Chicago. Lil’ Reese has been in the news as of late amid the shooting death of fellow Chicago rapper Lil’ JoJo. Authorities are investigating Chief Keef and Lil’ Reese for a possible connection in Lil’ JoJo’s murder.

“chicago must stop the violence smh that’s why me n @ChiefKeef do music it takes us away from the madness,” he wrote.

Englewood resident Lil JoJo, born Joseph Coleman, was murdered in a hail of gunfire Tuesday night hours following a confrontation with Lil’ Reese. Coleman allegedly had an ongoing dispute with Lil’ Reese and members of the Black Disciples street gang.

Coleman was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting as he was riding on the back pegs of a friend’s bike. Witness described the vehicle as a tan, older model, four-door Ford Taurus that was riding low in the back, according to the Sun Times. Coleman died minutes after being shot.

Chief Keef, born Keith Cozart, laughed at news of Coleman’s death on his Twitter account.

“Its Sad Cuz Dat N***a Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us #LMAO,” he wrote.

A video is circulating on the Internet showing Lil Jojo and Keef’s associate Lil’ Reese getting into a war of words. This event occurred just hours before Coleman was murdered.

Coleman tweeted a Youtube video of himself verbally assaulting Lil’ Reese with a barrage of expletives at 4:04 p.m. Lil’ Reese responded several times in the video that he would kill Lil’ JoJo.

A glimpse at Lil JoJo’s twitter reveals the 16-year-old emcee traded shots with the Chief Keef protégé. Coleman directly tweeted Reese’s Twitter account and sent the rival emcee a series of insults:

“I am out here on my 2 feets way b*tch @LilReese300,” Coleman wrote.

A crucial piece of evidence of Lil’ Reece’s connection to Coleman’s murder was retweeted by Coleman himself at 4:50 p.m.

Reece wrote that he had “goons” who would handle Coleman.

“LilReese300: @OsoArrogantJoJo ay u f*ckin opp I got goons in Miami dat will handle u ask my nigga @muneyjordan he do too lmao.”

Lil’ Reese has maintained his innocence in the shooting tragedy.
