Lil JoJo’s Brother Has Phone Meeting with Interscope Records

Slain Chicago rapper Lil JoJo’s dream was to get signed to major record label. But the 18-year-old Englewood resident’s dream was cut short after he was gunned down in a barrage of gunfire as he rode on the back pegs of a friend’s bike on Sept. 4.

The teenage rapper gained notoriety after releasing his infamous song “3HunnaK,” which took aim at the Black Disciples street gang and rival Chicago rappers.

Lil’ JoJo’s brother Johnathon Coleman wants to pick up where his fallen brother left off. He took to Twitter to reveal he had a phone meeting with Interscope Records.

“S/O @interscope for dat lil meeting on da phone today,” he wrote.

Interscope Records is ironically the same label as fellow Chicago rapper Chief Keef, who is suspected in being involved Lil’ JoJo’s murder.

The “Love Sosa” rapper laughed at news of JoJo’s murder on Twitter.

“hahahahahhahahahahahahahaahhAAHAHAHAHA #RichNi**aShit,” Keef wrote. “Its Sad Cuz Dat N***a Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us #LMAO.”

Glory Boyz Entertainment affiliate and Def Jam artist Lil’ Reese also displayed little sympathy for the rapper.

“Damn I just wke up 2da jojo shit fuck Em,” wrote Lil’ Reese.

John Coleman told the Chicago Sun-Times he wants to continue his brother legacy.

“I just lost my brother, so I have to finish this dream of his, accomplish his mission with music,” he told the Sun-Times. “I gotta feed my family.”
