Lil Durk lost his friend and fellow OTF member Pluto to an automobile accident in 2013.

Pluto, also known as Lil Pat, was killed in a rollover crash on Lake Shore Drive where two other passengers were injured in the accident. He was 24.

Durk opened up on Pluto’s death in song “What Your Life Like.”

Durk raps, “No gang related car crash, and he still won’t get no money from these city streets.”



Durk revealed the meaning behind his lyric on Sway In The Morning.

“[Pluto] got into a car crash and died. You know the city streets, if something happen – like a car crash – they gotta. They gotta put money on something. It wasn’t nothing dealing with that. They still ain’t get no money for his funeral saying it was gang related. I’m tryna see how a car crash gang-related.
