Lil Durk Reveals Origins Of OTF



Lil Durk’s flagship record label “OTF” is much more symbolic to the Def Jam rapper than many may expect.

“OTF,” an acronym for “Only The Family,” is a crew Durk repped as a youngin.

“We all grew up with OTF…”Only The Family” as a group, there used to be a lot of us,” the “Signed To The Streets 2” rapper told Thomas Morton in the “Chiraq” documentary. “As we started growing up and once started that rapping, we tried to think of a name cause it was a lot of us….‘Let’s bring back OTF.’” We brought it back cause that’s what it is now ‘OTF.’”



Durk is currently prepping the “OTF” album. The “Times” rapper told Star Power Ent. he expects guest collaborations from several high-profile artists, including Wyclef Jean, Yo Gotti and Meek Mill.



“I’m tryna get Wyclef on some hooks, Gotti, Meek…I ain’t gon have too many features, though,” he said. “We gon turn up with whatever we do.”

Durk’s OTF camp features artists OTF Nunu and RondoNumbaNine, to name a few.

Durk’s album will be in collaboration with French Montana’s Coke Boys label. The project may feature production from several of Durk’s go to producers, including, Paris Beuller, Young Chop, Nito Beats and Dree The Drummer.

The album doesn’t have a release date, but is expected to drop sometime this year.
