Kanye West revealed during a rant on Twitter regarding his “The Life Of Pablo” album that he is $53 million in debt. Ye announced his financial woes prior to his Saturday Night Live performance.
“I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt… Please pray we overcome,” he wrote. “… This is my true heart…”
Ye’s financial losses are possibly attributed to his fashion aspirations. The Chicago rapper admitted during an interview with BET he lost $16 million
“I was trying to play a sport that’s a billionaire sport. It’s not a millionaire sport and I’m proud of the debt. I don’t care about somebody’s Ghost (Phantom) or somebody’s house. I care about my vision.”
Ye told Sway during infamous rant interview that he lost $13 million chasing his fashion dreams.
