Gunman Ignites Shooting Massacre at ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Screening

A lone gunman caused fear and panic early Friday morning during a screening of the film “Dark Knight Rises,” starring Christian Bale.

The suspect, identified as James Holmes, casually walked inside an Aurora, Colo movie theatre in riot gear and threw canisters filled with gas. Armed with a rifle, a shotgun and two handguns, the 24-year-old suspect opened fire on moviegoers in what appears to be a systematic plot that killed at least 10 people and injured many others.

Fox News calls the incident the deadliest U.S. shooting since the Ft. Hood massacre in 2009.

The suspect was apprehended by authorities following the melee in a parking lot. He was taken into custody and is undergoing questioning.
