Famous Dex came under fire after footage surfaced of him pulling a gun on fans after a Shocktoberfest performance at University of California-Irvine. Dexter has since issued a statement on the matter.

“I tried to leave. I got my girl to get in the car,” he said. “She couldn’t even get in the car. You know why? It was 50 f*****g people by the car. I ain’t say, ‘Get the f**k away from the car motherf*****s.’ I said, ‘Please get away from the car becausee have a gun in the car.’ The police right here. We have to go. I ain’t up no gun on my fans.”

Dexter caused a near riot during his performance at the University of California-Irvine after diving into the crowd Saturday night. The melee ended the show.

Dexter’s car was later surrounded by fans. Dex flashed a gun at the crowd, telling them, “Get the f**k away from this car.”

Campus police were made aware of the incident and notified the public.

“Male 25 yr 5’11 seen inside wht veh poss plate# 8BBT053 with a gun at pereira & w peltason, call 911 if veh seen,” their tweet read.

They later tweeted, “Campus all clear, vehicle believed to have left the area,” the next tweet read.

Dex has yet to address the incident on social media.
