Drake is a big fan of the Chicago Hip Hop scene, especially East Side natives Lil Herb and Lil Bibby.

Drake has even adopted Chicago slang into his vocabulary.

The Toronto-bred rapper was present during Bruce Springsteen’s performance at the NCAA’s March Madness Music Festival. Drake yelled out “squad” during the performance.

The term “squad” is a Chiraq-coined word that Chiraqis commonly utter as a term of endearment, expression or salutation.
