Drake’s Meek Mill Diss Track ‘Back To Back’ Earns Grammy Nomination

Drake has officially solidified himself a W in his ongoing beef with Meek Mill. Drizzy learned Monday morning his “Back To Back” diss track earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Rap Performance category. The Canadian spitter is up against J. Cole’s “Apparently,” Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” Nicki Minaj’s “Truffle Butter” and Kanye West’s “All Day.”

Drake can thank Meek Mill if he were to win the award. The Young Money rapper issued his fiery “Back To Back” diss track after Meek accused him of using ghostwriters.

Drake’s Grammy announcement wasn’t the news Meek hoped to hear as he became the laughing stock of social media:

Drizzy first released his “Charged Up” record, which was the quiet before the storm. He touches on the ghost writing allegations, rapping, “Wow, I’m honored that you think this is staged / I’m flattered man, in fact I’m amazed / The perfect start to the summer man, this shit is a doozy / This shit is twistin’ the movie, but don’t jump to any conclusions / You boys aren’t getting’ any of your feelins on me / You should embrace it this could be one of our realest moments / OK, the flow’s startin’ to feel familiar, don’t it? / Must I remind you that Jimmy got twenty million on it.”

Drake proved he was truly charged up after getting at Meek Mill in “Back To Back.”

He opens this record, rapping, “I’m very important, I’m very pretentious/When I look back, I might be mad I gave this attention/But it’s weighing heavy on my conscious/And f*ck you let the boy no options.”

Drizzy goes on to say he was patiently waiting Meek’s response but to no avail.

He raps, “I waited four days, n*gga where yall at? I’m not sure what it was that made yall mad, but this is what I gotta do to make yall rap.”

The Canadian spitter continues, rapping, “This is for yall who think I don’t write enough/They just mad cause I got the Midas touch/You love then you gotta get a world tour/Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour/I know that you gotta be a thug for her/This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more/Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers/You getting bodied by a singing n*gga/I’m not the type of n*gga that type to n*ggas.”

Drizzy goes on taunt Meek for never responding to his first diss record, rapping, “I did another one, I did another/You still ain’t did sh*t about other one.”
