Actor Lee Thompson Young, who will be forever remembered for his starring role in “The Famous Jett Jackson,” has died, according to multiple media outlets.

Young, who was the current star of the TNT show “Rizzoli & Isles,” was reportedly found dead in his home by his landlord with an alleged “self-inflicted” gunshot wound.

“It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning,” manager Jonathan Baruch said in a statement to TMZ. “Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends as this very difficult time.”
