Def Jam Artist Lil’ Durk Arrested On Gun Charge

Rising Hip Hop artist Lil’ Durk is back behind bars after police found him in possession of a handgun early Wednesday in the South Side Chicago Englewood neighborhood, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The 20-year-old Def Jam artist, whose birth name is Durk D. Banks, was subsequently charged with one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

This isn’t Durk’s first gun charge.

Durk, who recently signed to French Montana’s Coke Boy imprint, was scheduled to complete his parole at the end of July, according to the Tribune.

Banks is expected to appear in Cook County Criminal Court for a bond hearing on Thursday.

Lil’ Durk is currently prepping the release of his mixtape “Signed To The Streets.” He is currently enjoying the viral success of his single “Dis Ain’t What You Want.”
