Comedian Daniel Tosh Makes Insensitive ‘Rape’ Joke at Laugh Factory



An attempt by comedian Daniel Tosh to make a rape joke didn’t sit too well with audience members at the Laugh Factory.

Tosh, star of Comedy Central’s Tosh.O, told allegedly told audience members “rape jokes are always funny,” according to Daily Mail.

Tosh’s joke didn’t sit too well with an audience member who began heckling the comedian by shouting, “Actually, rape jokes are never funny.”

Tosh reportedly responded to heckler by saying, “Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, five guys right now?”

“Like right now?” he continued. “What if a bunch of guys just raped her.”

The woman posted the ordeal on her Tumblr account and wrote she heckled Tosh because “sitting there and saying nothing” would have been against her “values as a person and as a woman,” according to Daily Mail. The young woman wrote being “disruptive” is is not in her nature, but she felt she needed to say something.

“I don’t sit there while someone tells me how I should feel about something as a profound and damaging as rape,” according to her Tumblr as reported by Daily Mail.
