Chicago Teen Confesses To Killing Friend On Snapchat

A Chicago teen has been charged with the murder of his friend. He confessed to crime while using a popular social media app.

Anthony Mendoza, 17, has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 16-year-old friend Christian Bandemer on Friday, June 3, according to the Chicago Tribune. He was ordered held on $250,000 bail.

Mendoza was handling a shotgun when it went off and struck Bandemer in the chest. The victim’s cousin was in the room when the shooting occurred.

Mendoza allegedly told the victim’s cousin not snitch about the shooting. But it was Mendoza who snitched on himself after taking to Snapchat to confess to the killing.

Mendoza, who was in the back of a squad car after getting arrested, took to Snapchat, saying, “I killed Chris and now I’m going to kill myself.”
