Chicago Artist I.L Will Brings Heat On ‘Devil’s Advocate’ Mixtape

Hailing from the West Side of Chicago, I.L Will recently released his latest mixtape “Devil’s Advocate” to his fans’ delight. Hosted by Chi-Town’s own DJ Honorz, the mixtape features 12 tracks, including “Bussin Freestyle,” “Mula Freestyle,” “You Can Go” and “Super Cocky.”

“Devil’s Advocate,” which features production from Chase N Dough, Dy On Da Trak, Deggzy Beats, Jay Beats and Star Power, serves as a sort of appetizer for I.L Will’s upcoming debut mixtape “Tattz & Flattz.”

“I Made ‘Devil’s Advocate’ to keep my listeners interested until my debut mixtape “Tattz & Flattz” drops April 15,” the 19-year-old rapper said.

I.L Will, who attributes his musical influences to Gucci Mane, 50 Cent, & Lil Wayne, describes his rap style as “unique.”

This is apparent as the “Go In” rapper incorporated several distinct flow styles on “Devil’s Advocate,” namely on tracks “Bussin,” “Mula” and “You Can Go.”

Whether he incorporates a “drill” flow, auto tune, or his signature lyrical prowess, I.L. Will’s delivery on tracks is effective.

“I’m not stuck in one lane; I can make all kinds of music,” he said.

What separates “Devil’s Advocate” from past projects, he said, was the time it took to put it together.

I.L Will revealed he recorded the mixtape in “one day.”

Additionally, Will rapped on mostly industry beats on the mixtape.

One such notable instrumental used was “Citgo,” a track featured on fellow Chicago native Chief Keef’s “Finally Rich” album.

“Devil’s Advocate” is a must listen. Be on the lookout for I.L. Will’s main course “Tattz & Flattz,” which is slated to drop next month.
