Chance The Rapper Donates $1 Million To Chicago Public Schools

Chance The Rapper is putting his money where his mouth is. The Chi Town native donated $1 million to the Chicago Public School Foundation today (Monday, March 6.)

Chance announced his gift during a press conference at Wescott Elementary.

Chance’s monetary donation comes following his meeting with Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner last week. Chance was reportedly disappointed with the governor for not providing an answer for a $215 million CPS shortfall that was part of a budget deal, ABC 7 Chicago reports.

Chance said Rauner left him with “vague answers.”
