Body Cam Footage Released Of California Police Officer Fatally Shooting Man After Stopping Him For Jaywalking

The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office has released body cam footage of the fatal police shooting of 32-year-old Tyrell Wilson, which occurred on March 11.

Danville Police officer Andrew Hall was called to a Danville intersection to investigate a report of a man throwing rocks at passing cars off the Sycamore Valley Road overpass onto the I-680 freeway below.

Hall approaches Wilson who is walking into the intersection and tells him to “come here.”

Wilson, who can be seen holding a knife, declines and told Hall to not touch him. Hall then shoots Wilson in the middle of the street. Wilson died a week later.
