Bobby Shmurda Reveals Rowdy Rebel Was Thrown In The Box Following Altercation At Manhattan Detention Center



Bobby Shmurda got a rare chance to speak on radio about his case during a live interview with Hot 97. But Bobby spoke no longer than two minutes.

But Bobby did reveal him and Rowdy Rebel have been together ever since they were arrested and locked up.

Bobby revealed an incident at the Manhattan Detention Center led to Rowdy being thrown in the “box.”

“…They took him to the box, man,” Bobby said. “Me and him had got into a little altercation. You know how that go.”

Rowdy Rebel was among 14 GS9 members indicted on a slew of charges Thursday, Dec. 18. Rowdy later issued a statement in a call from jail.



Rowdy Rebel is facing serious charges. He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

Rowdy is accused of being the gunman in a hit mission this past July. According to DNAinfo, Rowdy was driving with GS9 member Santino Boderick in Boerum Hill when he spotted a rival gang member.

Rowdy reportedly jumped out of his vehicle and fired shots into his rival’s car, missing him, but the shattering the window.

Rowdy, wearing the same clothes, performed at the Barclays center for a celebrity basketball tournament just hours after the shooting.

Bobby faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, reckless endangerment, gun possession and use of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered held on $2 million bail at a hearing in state Supreme Court in Manhattan.

Police reportedly seized 21 guns during their long-term investigation, 10 of them during Bobby’s arrest Wednesday, Dec. 17 outside Quad Studios.











Bobby is alleged to have been involved in two shootings earlier this year, according to court documents obtained by the AP. He allegedly fired a gun toward a crowd of people outside a barbershop in Brooklyn earlier this year. He was also allegedly present last year during a shootout between rival gangs outside a Brooklyn courthouse.
