In a sickening act of violence Monday, a 6-month old baby girl and her father were shot as he was changing her diapers in a parked van in South Side Chicago, according to DNAInfo.com
Little Jonylah Watkins was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital after being shot five times- in the lung, liver, leg, shoulder, and bowel. She has been listed in serious-to-critical condition, The Chicago Tribune reports.
Jonathan Watkins, 29, was also listed in serious-to-critical condition. He was shot in his left side and right buttock and suffered a graze wound to the face, authorities told the Tribune.
Ironically, the baby’s mother was shot while pregnant with little Jonylah.
Pastor Corey Brooks of New Beginnings Church, known to many as the “rooftop preacher” is offering up to $5,000 for information on the gunman.
Brooks called the shooting a “cowardly act,” according to DNAInfo.com.
The gunman is still at-large.
