Nicki Minaj Calls Miley Cyrus A B*tch At 2015 MTV Video Music Awards

The temperature at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards heated up after an encounter between Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus. Nicki called out Miley Cyrus for talking foul in a New York Times interview.

“I heard what you had to say about me in the press,” Nicki said. “Miley, what’s good?

Miley responded, “We’re all in this industry. We all do interviews and we know how they manipulate s**t. Nicki congratulations…”

Nicki can then be seen mouthing the word “b***h.”

Nicki was upset with Miley calling her out earlier this week for venting her frustrations about “Anaconda” being snubbed for a Video of the Year nomination at the VMAs, in addition to her and Beyonce’s song “Feeling Myself.”

“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” she tweeted. “If I was a different ‘kind’ of artist, ‘Anaconda’ would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well.”

Fans assumed Nicki was referring to Taylor Swift.

Cyrus said Nicki went about it the wrong way in her interview.

“If you want to make it about race, there’s a way you could do that. But don’t make it just about yourself,” she said. “Say: ‘This is the reason why I think it’s important to be nominated. There’s girls everywhere with this body type.’”

“You made it about you. Not to sound like a b***h, but that’s like, ‘Eh, I didn’t get my VMA.’

“What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite. I think there’s a way you speak to people with openness and love. You don’t have to start this pop star against pop star war. It became Nicki Minaj and Taylor in a fight, so now the story isn’t even on what you wanted it to be about.

“I know you can make it seem like, ‘Oh I just don’t understand because I’m a white pop star. I know the statistics. I know what’s going on in the world. But to be honest, I don’t think MTV did that on purpose.”

Nicki and Taylor Swift showed they were on good terms after opening the VMAs together. Minaj performed “Trini Dem Girls” before Swift joined her for “The Night Is Still Young.” They closed their joint performance with Swift’s “Bad Blood.”
