Jay Z Disses Beanie Sigel In Drake’s ‘Pound Cake’

There is no love lost between Jay Z and former Roc-A-Fella label mate Beanie Seagel.

The two have traded shots at each other since their public fallout.

The most recent diss comes from Jay Z’s guest feature in Drake’s “Pound Cake” from his third studio album “Nothing Was The Same.”

Jigga boasts his prominence and influence on the track, rapping, “I’ve done made more millionaires than the lotto did/Dame made millions, Bigg made millions/Ye made millions/Just made millions/Lyor made millions/Cam made millions/Beans tell you if he wasn’t in his feelings.”

The latter line takes aim at Beanie who has publicly accused Jay of not providing enough support to his rap career.

Beans infamously took a shot at Jay Z in song “What You Talkin Bout? (I Ain’t Ya Average Cat),” which samples the beat from Mr. Carter’s “What We Talking Bout” from “Blueprint 3.”

“This ain’t a diss record/This a real record/How it feel to get exposed?/Don’t you feel naked?/I was the fly on the wall, the shit I witnessed/I could say, shit, that make B look at you different,” Beanie raps.

Jigga responded to accusations made in that track in an interview obtained by MTV News.

“He has a lot to complain about, not me,” Jay said, according to MTV. “Well, Beanie Sigel, at the time — and you can look it up if you like, just to be honest — was driving two Bentleys. I don’t know how; it’s impossible to drive two cars at one time. With his momma in the sticks and selling 800,000 records, I don’t know what more you can do for somebody. What people choose to do when they attain of success … at some point you have to look in the mirror, and look at yourself. Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label, and a clothing line — and never went platinum, ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. I don’t even know what more can you do for a person at that point. A record deal, that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line? If that’s not pushing a person, sh– …”

i’m no big jay-z fan but i will give credit where due, but he’s never been a battle rapper, if anyone knows the history of rap, he never went to battle LL Cool J, and we know what happened with Nas. Jay can go after the average rapper but what about those on another level, like the above metioned or Eminem. We always went to battle the best or so called best. and it didn’t have to get personal to be better. a lot of these rappers don’t know how to be witty w/o getting personal or even using a curse word. that right there takes more talent not to curse. You can always tell the intelligence of a person by how they speak.
