Bloods Gang Member Charged With Shooting Lil Wayne’s Tour Bus



An affiliate of the Bloods gang is alleged to have fired shots at Lil Wayne’s tour bus in late April, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, 25, of Atlanta, is reported to have carried out to crime to gain higher gang status. Winfrey has a warrant out for his arrest that include charges of aggravates assault, terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street.

Winfrey allegedly cause $20,000 worth of damages when two tour buses belonging to Lil Wayne were hit on I-285 near I-75 in Cobb County following a performance at Compound nightclub, according to WSB-TV. Winfrey is reported to have fired the shots from his vehicle. No one was injured.

“Said accused did commit said act in order to gain status in his criminal organization by a committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist,” the warrant states, according to AJC. “Said accused has associated himself with known blood gang members in the Atlanta area.”

Lil Wayne has not issued a comment on the charges.
